In the morning of Feb. 21, 2009, the first Italian adoptive group to China of 51 persons from 20 families arrived at Beijing Capital Int’l Airport. BLAS was privileged to receive and arrange for this first group. Ms. Liu Xiaolei, as the deputy director of CCAA and the director of BLAS, and Mr. Clemente Contestabile, as the Consular in Embassy of Italy in China went to the airport to meet the group. This group goes to Jiangxi on Feb. 22 to go through adoption procedures and returns to Beijing on Feb. 28. The adopted children by these families come from four Social Welfare Institutes in Jiangxi province, including Xinyu, Ruijin, Guixi and Fengcheng.
